"Are you hearing, what they're preaching?" pt.2

"For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they on Him in Whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a Preacher? And how shall they Preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them who Preach the Gospel of Peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the Gospel. For Isaiah said, Lord, who has believed our report? So then Faith comes by hearing, and

hearing by the Word of God.

Romans 10: 13-17(KJV)

"what are you hearing?"

It is said, that our souls are comprised of our mind(or intellect), our will, and our emotions. It also has been said that the eyes are the windows to our souls, if this is true, I would say the ears must be the side door. The things we look at, and "lend an ear to" influence our thoughts, determination, and our emotions. Things we see and hear in the physical world around us, and things we "can't" see and hear, in the spirit, are sources of influence to our souls.

There is a saying I heard, referring to computer programming that says "garbage in, garbage out, quality in, quality out." Our lives produce the results, of what has been imputed in into our souls. If we are influenced by the lies and deceptions of the world around us, and the lies and deceptions of the Devil, our lives will bear fruit in negative ways. That's not to say,that there aren't good things in this world, that we can see and experience, that can influence us, in positive ways. But good is not best, and our good deeds are as "filthy rags" before God.

That is why Jesus came, to pay the only price acceptable, His Perfect Sacrifice.His Best. We follow Him, on this journey of life, as He leads us and guides us. Just as Jesus came, and spoke the things that He heard from the Father(Jn 8:26), we are to follow His example and do the things we see,and hear him do. "My Sheep hear My Voice,"(Jn 10:27a).

As the serpent deceived Adam and Eve in the garden, Satan is still whispering, mentioning, shouting, "preaching" ....communicating the same lies today. He tries to undermine God's Word in our lives, by getting us to focus on ourselves,and worldly things. The things that this world has to offer, may look and sound good, and may ,in and of themselves, not be inherently bad or evil. But when they become the focus of our attention,and become an idol in our lives, taking our focus off The Lord, they become an issue. " for what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"(Mk 8:36).

This present world system, and multitudes of people, are on the broad path, that leads to destruction, we,as Christians shouldn't be influenced by their messages. We are born again,children of the Most High, bought with a Price. We belong to Him! "...and I know them, and they follow Me: and I give unto them Eternal Life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My Hand."(Jn 10 : 27b &28)

We hear His Voice, we see His Deeds, we follow His Footsteps, we renew our minds, with His Word. Everything this World thinks, it has to offer, is not even pale , by comparison to what we have in Christ. We can only Preach that which is in our hearts, and minds. Hear His Voice, share His Word, Preach His Message. Quality in, Quality out. Then the world will know, "what you are hearing!"
