"For you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of Light:( For the Fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and Righteousness, and Truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the Light:for whatsoever does make manifest is light. Wherefore He said, awake thou who sleeps, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you Light."
Eph. 5:8-14
"wake up and rise up!"
Throughout history, world events have often been allowed by God , in order to call His people back to Him. Whether natural disasters, the rise of tyrannical nations, sickness and disease, and any other form of chaos that occurs when man disobeys God, and is left to their own devices, apart from Him. In our day, it"s no different. As I stated in the last post, our world today, is in chaos, confusion, and darkness. Evil pushing his way in our time, and influencing the lives of people, in all walks of life. The world needs the Light, the world needs a revived church, fulfilling her Call.
On September 10, just 2 months ago, this influence was made manifest in the assassination, of Charlie Kirk. I was only slightly familiar with him, prior to that day. I knew, and thought of him as a conservative political leader, as much of the world saw him also. Since then I have come to understand that was the result of his true Call and purpose, that of a Christian. He exemplified the Fruit of the Spirit, that is in all goodness, righteous, and truth, in what he spoke and how he treated people. He saw the unfruitful works of darkness, and reproved them. He walked as a child of Light. He understood the world needs a revived Church, bringing forth Truth.
Charlie Kirk wasn't pushing a political agenda, he was addressing issues that plague, not only our nation, but the world. Issues that are contrary to Judeo- Christian values, and the Word of God. He was bringing light to the darkness, and exposing the evil influence in social and political thinking. He knew the only way to change a mind, is to change a heart, thru Christ. He understood as today's scripture says, in verse 13, that all things reproved, are made visible by the Light. He was a true warrior for Christ, and still an inspiration, to this generation. But, the work of The Great Commission, still goes on. Let his legacy serve as a wake up call to the Church.
This scripture is a call to revival. The 14th verse in Ephesians, is a reference to Isaiah 60: 1&2, telling His people, to arise and shine for the Gory of the Lord is upon you, our call to repentance and revival. As brother Charlie Kirk stood up for the Gospel, and made an impact on this world, let us, the Church also, "wake up, and rise up" and let Christ give us Light, to impact this world for Him.
